Hi, I’m Lauren Cook, Broker Owner of Cook Realty Company. I help people buy, sell, build, and invest throughout Ellis County, Greater DFW, and North Texas.

Real estate has been part of my life for a long time. I studied it in college in 2008, became licensed in 2018, and earned my Texas Real Estate Broker license in 2022 before opening Cook Realty Company. Since becoming licensed, I’ve closed more than $50M in career real estate sales volume and helped more than 200 clients navigate buying, selling, building, and investing.

Ellis County is home, and I have extensive experience throughout Waxahachie, Midlothian, Red Oak, Ennis, Ferris, Palmer, Ovilla, and surrounding communities. I also represent clients throughout the Greater Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and North Texas.

My experience includes first time home buyers, sellers, new construction, land and acreage, investment properties, relocation, and clients who need to sell and buy at the same time. As a Broker Owner, I bring hands on experience with contracts, negotiations, pricing, inspections, appraisals, and the unexpected situations that can make a real estate transaction more complicated than it first appears.

My approach is pretty simple. I’ll tell you what I think, explain the why, answer your questions, and help you look at the whole picture so you can make the decision that makes sense for you. Sometimes that means buying or selling now, and sometimes it means waiting. I believe education comes before sales, and I never want someone to feel pressured into a decision just because they called a real estate agent.

Outside of real estate, I’m a wife and mom to two boys. I love cooking, reading, traveling, hiking, working out, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.

Most importantly, I want my clients to feel comfortable asking questions. You don’t need to know the terminology, understand contracts, or have the whole process figured out before you call me.
